Ruby takes the idea of lazy Sundays very seriously.
Saturday was a very busy day for her though. It started with a hike with friends. Here she is waiting patiently for them to arrive.
We ended the day with a pool party. Well, there was a pool present but no one took part. This series includes a cameo from Cornbread.

Someday when this nightmare is over I’d love to take a trip to Ohio and meet your dogs. Surely there’s a dirt road or two worth visiting?

I know that mischievous look. The mere promise of exercise, company, or food is enough to make their day.

There aren’t many dirt roads in my immediate area, but I’m close enough to I-70 to be a convenient stop on the way to some interesting places. There are a few winding old state routes that can make a more enjoyable drive than the interstate though.
As a secondary bonus I’m only about 20min from the USAF Museum.

Nice. I’ve wanted to try out Tudor’s in Xenia for quite some time, and between the museum and all of the state parks in that area I’m sure I could kill a day or five.

There are a few small city/county parks that are well worth a stop too. Plus there’s a Packard museum in downtown Dayton, several Wright Brothers sites, and one of the other Dayton members volunteers with a British car club that has a museum. It’s only open by appointment but he may be able to make that happen.
There’s actually quite a few good local restaurants that are worth a visit depending on how long you stay and what kind of food you like.
